PET OF THE MONTH

ISABELLES STORY

Isabelle came into rescue earlier this year, she was in a terrible state, her face, limbs and tail were completely bald, her front legs were covered in huge boils and cysts were between every toe. Her eyes were so full of gunk she could hardly see. She could barely lift her head from the ground. She seemed to have given up.

She had been neglected by her previous owner after he found her to be suffering from Demodectic Mange, and couldn't be bothered to treat her, we are just lucky that he had some sense and handed her into rescue, or who knows what her fate would have been.

A skin Biopsy was suggested along with full allergy tests, the results were that Isabelle had major food allergys , there is no commercial on the shelf dog food she can have, she has allergys to Beef, Lamb, Chicken, Duck, Pork, Rice, Potato, Wheat ( Maize ) Oats, Milk, Eggs & Soya.

Since the results came in and we changed the diet Isabelle has shown great improvement, and we finally touch wood have got rid of the mites.
She is fed a Hills ZD Prescription Diet along with Tuna, White Fish & Turkey, the results speak for themselves, Isabelle is now a dog with a new lease of life who enjoys to play ball and run around with her doggy pals.
She will always need regular trips to her friends at the vets, but now thanks to them she has a promising future.

This is a Picture of Isabelle was takenĀ 3 August 2011 her fur has now grown back and all of us here at Park View are so Happy to see her smiling again.
